This will be the page where I throw in updates on this week’s college football games – previews, commentary, trash talk, etc..
(If you clicked on the facebook page expecting the Gamecast from CMU/Oklahoma State, that has been moved here)
Games to watch this week:
Houston at Cincinnati – Thursday, 7:30 PM Eastern – The Cougars go on the road for the first time this season (NO, the matchup against Oklahoma at Reliant, 6.5 miles from their home stadium was not an away or neutral site game, sorry). The Bearcats are also 2-0 and looking to put their stamp on their resume by beating a Houston team that has beaten the last two Power 5 opponents they’ve faced by double digits. Greg Ward has been cleared to play tonight afte sitting out last weekend with a shoulder injury suffered late in the Oklahoma game. The Bearcats will definitely have their hands full with this game. Sophomore quarterback, Hayden Moore, will need to be on top of his passing game to keep the Cougar defense from loading up the box to stop their run offense, that is currently averaging 5 yards per carry. Their best bet is to hope they can keep pace with Houston’s offense with sustained drives that eat time and keep Greg Ward and company on the sideline as much as possible. If they can’t, it will be a long night.
